Green sea turtles captivate me. Actually, all turtles do. But green sea turtles we see the most and the experience never gets old.
Each year over the summer, the big old girls will haul themselves up the beach to nest, spending hours digging and finding just the right spot to leave their just over 120 eggs. Watching this process is wild. How can a creature be so lithe in the water and struggle so much on land yet continue to nest numerous times, on land, every few years with such sheer determination?
